Acceptance and Commitment Therapy- ACT //
ACT is an evidence based treatment method in which emphasis is drawn on increasing ones own psychological resilience in order to better cope with psychological disturbances. Another key feature within ACT is to identify ones own values in life and to incorporate these in daily living, stimulating increased freedom of spirit and authenticity.
Mindfulness is a Buddhist technique which practices bringing ones attention to the present moment in order to observe and know the mind. Mindfulness can be learned through exercises promoting living in the here and now.
